Ticket to Work Services

Cares of Washington provides dedicated, individualized services to assist all Ticket to Work participants to help each person reach their employment goals. All eligible Ticket to Work clients receive services at no cost. Every client working with Cares of Washington has an Employment Specialist assigned to work with them directly, for a personalized employment support experience. With decades of experience in the employment field, Cares of Washington offers a high level of support and outcomes for those participating in the Ticket to Work Program. These services include: 

Job Exploration, and Career Planning: Review of your work history, give you individualized analysis of the labor market, and assist you in determining paths to access and keep a job. 

Resume and Cover Letter Development: Provide editing, review, and advice on all your employment related documentation including CV, references and portfolios. 

Job Search Advisement: Access to a dedicated Employment Specialist that can provide you with advice and assistance to navigating the application and hiring process.

Accommodation Negotiation: Professional consulting for filing and obtaining accommodations with an employer as well as being a third-party advocate with the employer.

Interview Preparation: Coaching and practice to prepare for job interviews.

Benefits Assistance: Public Benefits Assessment and Analysis from Certified Benefits Practitioner and Access to Resource Network

Eligibility for Ticket to Work Services 

To become a Ticket to Work participant, eligibility must first be determined. To be eligible for the Ticket to Work Program you must: 

  • Obtaining and maintaining employment

  • Be between the ages of 18 and 64

  • SSI or SSDI Recipient

  • Have Ticket available for Assignment

Ticket to Work is designed to help employment seekers pursue their career path and obtain gainful employment so that a high enough income is achieved that the individual can eventually stop using benefits.  

When contacting SSA or ADEN, be sure to request CARES of Washington as your provider so your inquiry is directed to our team.
