Our Programs
Cares changes the future for our clients by offering a continuum of services that address critical skills they need to thrive in the workforce and face the challenges they may encounter when attempting to obtain and retain that job. Clients work on-one-with one of our employment staff to discuss strengths, assets, and challenges and identify suitable job options with advancement potential. This includes intake, strength-based strengths-based assessment, ongoing support, and follow-up. Job coaches meet with participants in a variety of accessible locations at flexible times to accommodate as many schedules as possible. Together, the client and job coach outline financial and employment goals and the steps to achieve them.
Cares staff connects clients with whatever resources they need to achieve long-term self-sufficiency whether it’s:
Housing
Mental health care
Childcare
Transportation
Financial education/coaching
Life skills coaching
ESL classes
Coaches also help clients to:
Complete job applications
Create resumes
Practice mock interviews
Address any related issues specific to the client
Whatever the need, we ensure that our client's needs are met and in all cases, we remain the primary job coach, coordinating with service providers to ensure efficiency and promoting shared positive outcomes.
Our Placement Specialists develop and maintain excellent relationships with more than 100 local employers. Cares works with local companies to place clients in appropriate positions based on skills and aptitude, location, accessibility, etc.

But our work doesn’t stop when a client gets a job. All of our activities are designed to provide our clients with comprehensive services that help them become employable, stay employed, and improve their financial—and personal—future.
